Greatly appreciate this info and finding it. My 13 yo son is in the process of being evaluated for JOCD. We are waiting for approval to get the MRI’s done. He has had knee discomfort for past 2 years and recently got worse. Was diagnosed with “growing pains” 2 years ago, and Osgood Schlatters this past year. Problem just didn’t see to fit so sought orthopedic eval. Xrays indicated JOCD. Don’t have further results or treatment plan yet. As a PT (with no experience in sports or JOCD) I wonder if he shouldn’t be on crutches and PWB but those decisions seem to be delayed until after MRI findings.
