David Wasserstein graduated the University of Toronto medical school in 2007 and Orthopaedic Residency in 2012. He completed a Masters in Public Health at the University of Waterloo in 2016 and two clinical Fellowships in Sports Medicine (Vanderbilt University 2014) and Sports Medicine/trauma (University of Toronto 2013). He has been on staff at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto since 2014, is an Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Toronto and has been appointed as affiliated faculty at The Hospital for Sick Children since 2018. His practice consists of pediatric and adult knee surgery – trauma, realignment, multiligament knee surgery, patellafemoral disorders, meniscal and cartilage procedures. Through the (Joseph) Schatzker Joint Preservation Initiative at Sunnybrook, David has become a leader in Canada for knee joint preservation surgeries across all age groups with a keen interest in treating ostechondral lesions in teenagers and young adults.
